July Newsletter Announcement
Greetings Fedelta Friends and Partners,
Welcome to our new and improved monthly newsletter. It's been almost a year since we published our last edition. During that break we've been busy, and I'm excited to finally make a few public announcements.
First, it's our 10-year anniversary this year! It's hard to believe all this started during Thanksgiving weekend back in 2004. What an amazing experience it's been, and the clients we help each and every day continue to make the process extremely rewarding for us.
This drive to improve our clients’ lives has led us to constant internal innovations. We went from non-medical homecare, to adding a team of full-time nurses who can now provide comprehensive skilled services in the home. But then we found that some clients had needs that surpassed the home environment, and senior housing would be the best choice. It was then that we added senior housing placement to our model. Our team of Care Solutions Advisors now offer placement services across all of King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Kitsap counties.
This past year we’ve been busy adding yet another innovation to our model, and today we’re excited to announce the Living Well Program.
We’ve noticed for some time the lack of holistic wellness programs available to in home care clients. The industry as a whole does a great job providing medically focused care plans, equipping caregivers to treat the disease, but at times this can lead us to forget that behind that disease is a real person. Real people have emotional and social needs, along with physical needs, not to mention the continuing need to feel a sense of purpose and independence, even as we age.
One of the staple quotes of the Living Well Program (LWP) is, “Living well with a chronic disease is possible,” but only when we remember that, “we are more than our disease.”
The LWP is a holistic chronic disease care program, with specific tools developed for Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes, and heart disease. Clients go through a comprehensive assessment with our Care Managers and then a customized plan of care is developed and taught to in home caregivers, family members, and to the client themselves. This allows us to offer in home care that is specifically tailored to the diverse needs to our clients, while still coming in at a competitive rate. To learn more about the program, click here.
Thank you and here’s to 10 more great years,
