Our Infection Control and Prevention Strategy for the Coronavirus Disease 2019/COVID-19

At Fedelta Home Care, we ensure the health and welfare of clients and staff is our top priority. In response to growing concerns regarding the Coronavirus Disease 2019/COVID-19 in Washington State, Fedelta has revised and implemented infection prevention and control policies that meet the accreditation standards of the Joint Commission, and incorporates guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control, the Washington State Department of Health, and local Health Departments.

Our infection control and prevention strategy is comprised of three main evidence-based components:

Communication

Fedelta is actively monitoring and relaying critical information related to the Coronavirus Disease 2019/COVID-19 from reputable health authority sources (CDC, Washington State, and local Health Departments) to our clients and staff.

Symptom Surveillance

Fedelta has implemented protocols to actively screen care staff and clients for symptoms per CDC guidelines. Any clients or staff exhibiting flu-like symptoms are immediately referred for medical evaluation and treatment.

Infection Prevention

Fedelta is conducting additional staff training and client education per CDC guidelines that includes hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene, surface cleaning, symptom identification and when to seek medical attention.
